Fibre Cement Fixings

Fibre Cement roof sheets have been used in replacement for Asbestos cement roofing sheets and are commonly found on domestic outbuildings and garages.  There are a various different fixings that can be used when installing fibre cement profiled fixings depending on the roof structure that they are being fitted to.

  • Baz Fixings - A self drilling screw which is becoming the most common way to fix fibre cement sheeting on new projects.  Different baz fixings are available to screw directly into Timber or Metal supports
  • Hook Bolts - A common fixing used on older industrial units and some domestic garages.  The bolt is designed to hook around a steel purlin or angle iron and then tightened from the top on the crown of the profile.
  • Drive Nails - Now a little outdated, but was once the most common fixing for installing profile 3 and profile 6 sheeting into timber purlins.
